Saving Images for the Web in Adobe Photoshop

When you thinking to upload the image on web then we are very care full about two think. first the size of the image and the quality of the image. we must balance the quality of the graphic and the file size of the media to suit your personal needs because when we working on internet then speed is so importance (for example we every one want quick loading) so in this case we may be give sacrifice some quality of a graphic. Where quality is important, you may need to sacrifice some speed.

So we must make balance in these two factors. For this purpose we chose lossless type of image format for example JPG, GIF , PNG and TIF are most common Lossless media types in Graphic Design.

Now we discus that how we save the image for web in adobe Photoshop.

The following step are take for this purpose:

Click on File menu and select Save For Web or Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S.

in appearing dialog box chose the best setting for your image and optimizing an image for the web:

  • Choose a file format.

  • Choose an image size at which to save your image.

  • Choose a quality level for jpg or number of colors for gif.

  • Choose a location for your file on your drive.

if You want to make transparent picture then select transparent check button ON. And select gif file format . The usual preferred file type of photographs is JPEG. The reason why jpeg has become the standard is due to its ability to compress image data while at the same time being able to retain high quality and closely resemble lossless images (in regards to information).

Choose JPEG in the box and then adjust your quality setting.

Click that little arrow just to the right of the quality number to get the quality slider. Pull it down to a low number and look at your image. Then drag it higher and look for the quality differences.

In the end select the location where you want to save and give the name and save it.
