How to Group Layers in Adobe Photoshop

In this tutorial we learn how we make the group of layer. In complicated Photoshop project when there are many layer then management is very difficult. So grouping is best way to manage the layers.  There are two different ways to group layers in Photoshop.
First method:

  1. For every image create a new layer and give a suitable name to each and every layer.
  2. Click on right side of the layer in the Layers palette.
  3. Now click on layer menu and select  Group with Previous or press CTRL + G.
  4. Now the two layers or more if you wish are grouped together.

Second method


  1. For every image create a new layer and give a suitable name to each and every layer.
  2. Click on Create New Set at the bottom of the Layers Palette.
  3. Give suitable the name to it.
  4. Now drag the first layer you want to put in the new layer folder. Place it over the folder until the name for the folder is highlighted.
  5. Repeat This process for other all layer which you want to place in this group.
  6. Now you can hide all layer at once by clicking click on the small triangle next to the folder.
